FAQ About Dana's Bakery Macarons

General Care Instructions

For best results, our macarons should be refrigerated and consumed within 5-7 days of delivery, or they can be frozen upon arrival for up to 4 weeks. Our macarons are best served at room temperature. If you will be storing them in a refrigerator, please allow approximately 10 minutes to reach room temperature or 30 minutes if coming from the freezer.

Can I freeze my macarons to save for a later date?

Yes. Dana's Bakery macarons can be frozen for up to two-months when kept in its original packaging. We recommend wrapping the package in additional plastic wrap to keep as much air and moisture out of the package so your macarons stay fresh.

How big are Dana's Bakery Macarons?

Dana's Bakery Macarons are made by hand and vary in size between 1.75" - 2" in diameter per macaron.

How many macarons should I order?

When serving Dana's Bakery Macarons for events and special occasions, we recommend 2-3 macarons per person. For personal orders, our macarons can be kept fresh and saved up to one week in the refrigerator or two-months in the freezer when kept in its original packaging.

What macaron flavors does Dana's Bakery carry?

We have 14 original macaron flavors and always offer a macaron flavor of the month. You can view our entire catalog of macaron flavors here. You can also contact us to discuss creating a custom flavor macaron for your special order.

Can Dana's Bakery customize my macarons?

Yes, we love to think outside the box! We can create custom colors, flavors, and apply personalized designs on our macarons. Please see our Special Orders page or call our Customer Service Team for more information.

Do Dana's Bakery Macarons contain nuts?

All of Dana's Bakery Macarons are made with almond flour and some of our macarons contain nuts. Nuts are not part of every recipe but trace amounts of nuts or nut oils can be in any of our products. We recommend those with nut allergies refrain from eating our products.

Do Dana's Bakery Macarons contain dairy?

Yes. Most of the fillings found in our original macaron flavors contain cream or butter, except for the Jelly Doughnut macaron. The Jelly Doughnut macaron is dairy-free.

FAQ Delivery, Pick-Up, and Nationwide Shipping

There are three different ways to get your Dana's Bakery Macarons.

  1. Local Delivery. You can order macarons to be delivered locally in New York City anywhere between Battery Park and 90th Street. Please see our Shipping Policy for more details.
  2. Pick-Up. If you're in the northern New Jersey area, you can select to have your macarons ready for pick-up during business hours at Dana's Bakery HQ located at 69 Wesley St Suite 2, South Hackensack, NJ 07606.
  3. Nationwide Shipping. You can order macarons to be shipped anywhere Fedex delivers in the continental United States. Please see our Shipping Policy for more details.

Why are Dana's Bakery shipping rates so high?

Our shipping rates are calculated directly by Fedex based on weight, distance, and transit type, which means the more you ship and the further you ship, the higher the rate. Dana's Bakery also offers flat rate shipping to make shipping more affordable for our friends that live outside of New York City. We ship our macarons in custom-designed packaging to ensure our products arrive safely, and stay fresh, so our shipping options are limited to those which will get your macarons to their destination within one to two days.

FAQ Macaron of the Month Club

Every month, Members of the Macaron of the Month Club will receive a Dana's Bakery Variety Pack. Variety packs include all seasonal flavors and the flavor of the month. Subscriptions are available for durations of 3, 6, and 12 months, or you can choose a month-to-month option.

Subscription Payments

  • 3, 6, and 12 Month Subscriptions require payment in full when the order is submitted and are not eligible for refunds.
  • Shipping is calculated at checkout.
  • The cost of nationwide shipping is provided directly from Fedex, or, for our friends outside of New York City, we offer a flat rate.
  • Payments for Month-to-Month Subscriptions are charged on the 1st day of every month. When an order for a Month-to-Month Subscription is placed, your credit card information is stored in our secure server, and processed on the 1st day of the following month.

When can I expect my first shipment?

We know you want your macarons as soon as possible, so we try to ship your first Macaron of the Month Club order on the next available shipping day (Monday through Wednesday to avoid weekend overlays). It will take 1-2 days to arrive. Subsequent orders are then shipped on the first shipping date closest to the original order date. If you would prefer to make any adjustments to shipping date, please feel free to contact our Customer Service Team, or leave Special Instructions at checkout!

Your second and all subsequent shipments ...

Macaron of the Month Club orders are shipped around the first week* of the month, Monday through Wednesday to avoid weekend overlays, and take 1-2 business days to arrive. (*If the 1st day of the month falls on a Thursday or Friday, your order is shipped on the following Monday excluding business holidays.) You will receive a confirmation email for every Macaron of the Month Club shipment so you know when you can expect to receive your package. Please see our Shipping Policy for more information.

What's Inside

The first box of your Macaron of the Month Club order is shipped in a reusable Dana's Bakery insulated cooler-bag with a Welcome card indicating the duration of your subscription. Gift orders can be shipped with a handwritten note. You can enter this information during checkout.

Cancellation

Month-to-Month Macaron of the Month Club subscriptions can be cancelled upon request until the 20th day of every month by contacting our Customer Service Team. Requests for cancellation made after the 20th day of the month will go into effect for the next billing cycle. 3, 6, and 12 Month subscriptions are absolutely non-refundable.
